Flora Moore

Flora Stella Moore was born in Waelder Texas on September 27,1937 to Sylvester Seay and Verna Randel, She was a sister to Mary, Dora, and Henry. On January 15,1964, she united in holy matrimony with Vardell Noah Moore in her beloved home state of Texas. She had three children Helen Marie, Vicky Lynn ( who preceded her in death), Vence Edward. Flora’s role as a mother was one of her greatest joys, and she embraced it with every fiber of her being. Flora’s life was a testament to the power of faith, family, and the joy found in simple pleasures. Flora’s working life was as diverse as it was dedicated. She provided care and comfort as a babysitter, contributed to the local economy at a peanut plant, and served nurturing meals in the school district cafeteria. Through every endeavor, she extended her nurturing spirit to all those around her. A devout Christian, Flora’s faith was the cornerstone of her existence. She lived a life that exemplified the Christian virtues of love, generosity, and selflessness.

After her husband was discharged from the United States Air Force, the family moved to San Diego, California. Flora cherished the moments spent with her family above all. She also found great pleasure in watching her favorite television shows, with recent favorites being “Sistas,” “Family Feud,” and “Wheel of Fortune.” Her laughter and commentary during these shows were a source of joy and entertainment for her loved ones. Flora loved going to Las Vegas, Nevada to enjoy staying at her favorite hotel, Lady Luck and playing the slot machines. Her heart was ever open, her hands always ready to help, and her presence a sanctuary of warmth and generosity. She lived a life that beautifully reflected the words of Scripture, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”

Flora was called home to the Lord on July 16, 2025, in San Diego, California, Flora leaves to mourn her loss her husband Vardell Noah, children, Helen Marie, Vence Edward and her siblings, Mary, Dora and Henry and many nieces and nephews. Vence Edward blessed her with nine grandchildren: Shawanee, Selina, Vence Joseph, Vanity, Vence Edward II, Victoria, Kymberly, Kyla, and Val.
