John Stoddard

John Karlin Stoddard, born April 30, 1969, in Cherokee, OK, passed away on October 7, 2025. He was a man of creative spirit, a witty humorist, and an adventurer at heart. He was a longtime resident of Belle Plaine, Kansas, having previously lived in Andover and Wellington. John carried the spirit of these communities with him throughout his life, as well as the many places he visited in his travels. He was employed as a dedicated sales clerk in the retail industry, where his funny and engaging personality endeared him to customers and colleagues alike.

In his free time, John was an avid photographer capturing the beauty of the outdoors, a skill that complemented his love for fishing and exploring nature. He was always up for an adventure, as long as it included the company of his beloved dog, Luchee. Above all else, what mattered most to John were his children and grandchildren. He was their family comedian, filling their lives with laughter and joy.

John is survived by his mother, Neletah Stoddard; his loving wife, Susan Stoddard; his children, John Jr. (Carah Burkholder), Danielle (Justin Harp), Miranda (Jeremy Mohr), Sophia, and Aliyah Stoddard; his grandchildren, Ely, Brooke, Shiloh, Kanyon, John Warren, Allyssa, Talan, Korbin, Kynley, Haydon, Hunter, Braelynn, Acelynn, Remi, and Audryanna; his siblings, Marie Evans, Darryl Stoddard, Nova Alam, and Nisa Cummings; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Jim Stoddard, and his grandson, Kasen Nash.
