Julianne “Julie” Malach 71, of Sublette, passed away peacefully on August 14,2025 at Allure in Mendota. Visitation will be Monday, August 18 from 3-7pm in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church Hall. Mass of Christian Burial will be August 19 at 10:30 in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Rev. Jeff Windy officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Sublette. Wasmer Funeral Home is privileged to assist the family.
Julie was born September 11,1953 in Dixon to Sylvester and Arvilla (Dempsey) Brechon. She graduated Amboy High School in 1971. Julie married the love of her life and best friend Kevin Malach on March 24, 1979 in St. Mary’s church in Walton. She along with her husband owned and managed Kevin’s Catering, but Julie was the boss. Julie belonged to OLPH and helped in St. Anne’s Sodality. She was an animal advocate, always taking pictures of animals to enjoy with others. Julie loved feeding grapes to the fox family that lived near their back patio. She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, mowing and flowers of all kinds. Julie wouldn’t turn down a shopping trip. But most of all, Julie loved her family and spending time with her husband.
She will be forever missed by her husband Kevin of Sublette, 2 sons: Jason (Andrea Harding) Malach of Sublette, Nate Malach of Sublette, grandchildren Elizabeth Malach of Dixon and Mitchell Malach of Durand, and 2 sisters: Colleen (Lyle Woodin) Brechon-Vancil of Dixon and Rhonda Brechon of Dixon. She is preceded in death by her parents, father-in-law George Malach and brother-in-law Dennis Vancil.
