Lynne Weikel

Our beautiful mother, Lynne Weikel passed away peacefully Friday June 27, 2025. She was born November 16, 1948 to the late William Ernest Bridges and Elizabeth Bauer Bridges.

Lynne was a devoted Christian and dedicated nurse that found joy in the Bible, her many books, and her grandchildren who she adored. She found strength and the Lord’s love in the scriptures of the Bible that she read almost on a daily basis and shared through her kindness and beautiful smile.

She is survived by her two daughters Wendy Weikel Merrell and her husband Martin, and Amanda Arnold and her husband Walter; her son Jason Weikel; her sister, Barbara Duncan; her nephew Jeffrey Duncan; five grandchildren, Brianna, Gracie, Matthew, Samantha, and Steven.

A small memorial service will be held in Charlotte, North Carolina. Donations in Lynne’s memory may be made to the Cancer Research Institute and/or to the charity of your choice.
