Mariana Luecke

Mariana Violeta Dragan Luecke, age 59, of Fletcher, North Carolina, went to be with her heavenly Father on Tuesday, July 01, 2025, at Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina. She was born in Timisoara, Romania on March 24, 1966, and was the daughter of the late Vasile and Agapia Dragan.

Mariana attended high school in Timisoara, Romania before moving to the United States. She received her U.S. citizenship and continued her education at AB Tech to receive her associate degree in accounting. Mariana’s most recent employment was with Hendersonville OB-GYN as the front desk receptionist for the past 14 years.

She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Bruce Luecke; daughter, Jessica Luecke; son, Alan Luecke; brother, Dan Dragan of Germany; and sister, Nela Heimerl of Romania. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many family members in North Carolina and Romania.

She was preceded in death by, in addition to her parents, father-in-law, Rev. Martin Luecke.

Mariana was a bright light and had many special friends. She never met a stranger and loved everyone.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Pisgah Lutheran Church in Hendersonville with Pastor Jonathan Christensen officiating.
