Michael Galloway

Michael Robert Galloway, age 71 of Plano, IL passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2025 at Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. He was born in Chicago, IL on October 9, 1954 the son of Robert and Jean (Pelc) Galloway.

Michael was united in marriage on October 2, 1976 to Miss Linda Brown and they spent the next 49 years happily together. He was employed for many years until his retirement as pension director for local unions. After retirement he worked part time as a driver for Kendall County Transit. Michael was a loving husband, father, grandfather (aka Papa), great grandfather, brother, uncle and cousin who will be missed by all who knew him.

Michael is survived by his wife, Linda Galloway of Plano, IL; his son, Eric (fiancé, Bri Janovjak) Galloway of Montgomery, IL; his son, Bradley’s fiancé, Jen Adams of Romeoville, IL; his grandchildren, McKenna (Adam) Nebel, Caitlyn Galloway, Olivia Galloway, Marissa Galloway, Ava Galloway, Sophia Galloway, Anya Janovjak and Ayden Galloway; his two great grandchildren, Wesley Nebel and Maevis Nebel; his brother, Robert (Gayla) Galloway of Wisconsin; as well as his nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Jean Galloway; his son, Bradley Galloway; his brother, William (Dawn) Galloway; and his sister, Susan (Steve) Geigel.

A Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday, October 17, 2025 at the Nelson Funeral Home, 1010 W. South Street, Plano, IL. Interment will be private in Little Rock Township Cemetery at a later date.

Friends may visit from 4:00 PM until the Hour of Service on Friday, October 17, 2025 at the Nelson Funeral Home in Plano, IL.
