Peggy Money

Mrs. Peggy Hampton Money, age 86, passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Margate Health and Rehab Center with her daughter by her side.

She was born in Ashe County on May 15, 1939, to the late Edwin and Grace Hart Hampton.

Peggy was a giving and compassionate person, always offering her friends hope and inspiration during their troubles. She was gorgeous, both inside and out, and loved the Lord, helping others to find Him. She enjoyed nature; one of her favorites was feeding watching the birds.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Osborne Grover Money, and two half-brothers, Rick Miller and Ronnie Miller.

She is survived by her daughter, Michelle “Shea” Dee, of West Jefferson; three half-brothers, Tom Miller of Crumpler, Terry Miller of Ohio, and Jeff Miller (Barbara) of Jefferson; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Nella Community Cemetery with Rev. Rick Miller officiating.

Pallbearers will be Tom Miller, Charles Trivette, Robert Miller, Greg Miller, Mark Hart, and Patrick Mathers.
