Peter Di Pietro

Peter DiPietro passed away on August 5, 2025, at his home (1935–2025). He was a loving husband, father of five children, and grandfather to six. He lived in Arizona for over 26 years, having moved from Deerfield, Illinois. In Deerfield, he served as a trustee for the Deerfield Fire Department for more than 10 years. While in Arizona, he volunteered his plumbing skills for Habitat for Humanity, helping to build many homes for people in need. He also devoted many days to making food deliveries and volunteering at the Food Bank in Cave Creek.

He is survived by his loving wife, Pam, with whom he shared over 60 years of marriage, and by his five children: April, Mark, Kelly, Tina, and Michael. A strong Italian Catholic, Peter came from a large family of six siblings. He was also a devoted Pittsburgh Steelers fan for most of his life. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Through his kindness and generosity, Peter will be remembered for how he made others feel—loved and cared for.

A visitation will be held on August 17 from 3:00–6:00 p.m. at Messinger Mortuary, 8555 E Pinnacle Peak Rd. Burial will follow on August 18 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery, 9925 W Thomas Rd, Avondale.
