Ronald Smith

Ronald Coleman Smith, age 72, of Bedford, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Born March 18, 1953 in LaGrange, Kentucky, he was the son of R.C. and Marion C. (Jones) Smith.

Mr. Smith was retired from the assembly line at the former Arvin-Meritor in Carrollton, Kentucky, and a tobacco farmer. He enjoyed deer and coyote hunting, riding his Ranger, and farming.

His surviving family includes his wife, the former Pamela Penick, to whom he was married on May 11, 1973 in Bedford; one daughter and son-in-law: Tara and Eddy Callis of Bedford; one son, Travis Smith of Bedford; two sisters: Sue Smith of Frankfort, Kentucky, and Alice Richmond and her husband, Charles of Milton, Kentucky; one brother and sister-in-law: Jeff and Nell Smith of Bedford;  three grandchildren: Trey Callis and his wife, Chelsea, Katie Brierly and her husband, Jarrod, and Daniel Callis and his wife, Olivia; and five great grandchildren: Embry, Roy, John Thomas, and Delilah Callis, and Jaxon Brierly.

He was preceded in death by his parents

The Reverend Bobby Wade will conduct the funeral services.
