Shannon Birchall

Shannon Lyn Birchall, of Aurora, CO, passed away unexpectedly on July 18, 2025.

Our Goddess of Light was a radiant, powerful force of Aries energy, a sunbeam of love, life, joy and celebration. She was beautiful, smart, complicated, irreverent, independent, humble, honest and kind. She lit up every room she was in, and she was always smiling and sharing her contagious laughter. She was often goofy and silly, sometimes strong, stubborn and serious, and she had great passion and resilience. She loved the universe, nature, people (especially children), animals, and the earth, and she appreciated the vast beauty and mysteries all around us.

Shannon had deep and loving connections with her chosen humans, and she made sure you knew how beautiful you were, how much she appreciated you. As a friend, she was always there to listen, and she always had your back. She loved being a nanny and working with children. She spent her free time playing disc golf, hooping, listening to music, being social, camping and hiking, traveling and reading.

Shannon was our unique and unforgettable star. She will be DEEPLY missed, ALWAYS.

Shannon was born in St. Petersburg, FL, and spent time growing up in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and Monmouth County, NJ. She rests in light with her parents, Mary Elizabeth “Lisa” Birchall (nee Swaim) and David Michael Birchall.  She is survived by her devoted family, including her brother and sister-in-law, Dawson and Erica Birchall; her grandparents Karen Swaim, Sam and Barbara Swaim, and Mary Lou Birchall; her aunt Lynn Swaim, her uncle Sam Swaim, her uncle Mark Cummings, her aunt Darlene LaRocque, and her aunt Cheryl Cummings (deceased); along with her stepbrother and sister-in-law Jake and Amanda Hall, stepmother Dana Hurden-Hall, and countless cousins and friends.
