Wayne Rinick

Wayne Joseph Rinick passed away on September 21st 2025 at the age of 91. Wayne was proceeded in death by his wife of 54 years Carole Rinick. He is survived by his daughter Jennifer and son Richard. He was also proceeded in death by his friend Marilyn Stommel.

Wayne was born on August 22, 1934 in Washington DC. He earned a Bachelors degree in education from George Washington University by way of a golf scholarship. Wayne taught physical education at Surrattsville Junior High School in Clinton Maryland for almost 30 years. He served in the Army for four years early in his teaching career.

Wayne married Carole in August of 1958. They built their first home in Fort Washington, and lived in that town for most of their life. Wayne was a gardener, enjoyed tennis and riding his motorcycle. He often recognized former students in his daily travels.

There will be a celebration of life for Wayne at the Prince of Peace Presbyterian Church at 1657 Crofton Pkwy, Crofton, MD 21114 on October 5th at 5PM.
