Wilson Rice

Wilson Rice, 93 of Delaware, passed away on August 7, 2025 at Grady Memorial Hospital.

Born December 29, 1931 in Harman, Virginia, he was one of 9 children to the late James Harvey & Lillie Francis (Looney) Rice. He married Martha A. (Deel) Rice on November 9, 1951, she passed on July 25, 2022. Wilson is also preceded in death by his son Tommy Rice, sisters Elsie Gilbert and Shirley Rice, and brothers Walter and Harvey Rice.

Left to cherish Wilson’s memory is his loving daughter Tee (Steven) Wood; daughter -in-law Cindy Rice; grandchildren Tyler (Laurie) Wood, Sara (Greg) Jones, Mica Breese and Toby (Carissa) Rice; great-grandchildren Nicholas, Samuel, Henry, Ryan, Avery, Kassandra, Karyn, Hannah and Corbin; brothers Danny, Willard and James Rice; sister Ivil Hunt; numerous nieces and nephews. 

Wilson worked in the construction industry as a Terminal Manager for PPG and also worked at Scioto Lime and Stone Company. Wilson was the owner of Rice Trucking. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.

A graveside viewing will begin at 2:00 pm Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at Radnor Cemetery in Radnor, Ohio, a service honoring the significance of his life will begin at 2:30 pm.
