Gregory Hamilton

Gregory Louis Hamilton

February 14, 1961 – November 10, 2025

Greg Hamilton, outdoor enthusiast and musician, passed away in his home beside his wife and son on November 10, 2025, after a courageous, private battle with cancer. Greg and his college sweetheart, Nancy, built their dream home in Lake Geneva and spent their summers on the water. He was an involved community member and loved spending time with Nancy and his son, Nick, at the Lake Geneva Yacht Club.

Greg was a dedicated, natural leader with a dry sense of humor, touching many more people than he knew. He was an inspirational mentor to many at his longtime employer, REI, and dedicated his time to serving the outdoors by supporting community groups and trips with the Boy Scouts. In his free time, he loved attending concerts (forever a Parrot Head), eating at Pizza on the Farm, and vacationing in Key West and St. Pete Beach, Florida.

Greg is survived by his wife, Nancy (Fahrnow) Hamilton, his son Nicholas Hamilton, his parents Martin and Diane (Bertell) Hamilton, his brother and sister-in-law Douglas and Mary (Czuba) Hamilton, brother Chris Hamilton, sister and brother-in-law Marya (Hamilton) and David Horstmeyer, mother-in-law Janet Fahrnow, sister and brother-in-law Julie (Fahrnow) and John Phipps, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society to fund prostate cancer research. Visitation will be held on November 22, from 1-4:00, with guided prayer following, at the Toynton Funeral Home, 328 Kenosha Street, in Walworth, Wisconsin.

Arrangements made by Toynton Funeral Home, Walworth WI or (262) 275-2171.
