John Kenneth Zeller

John Kenneth Zeller, age 73, of Hendersonville, NC, passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at the Margaret R. Pardee Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his family. John was born on October 29, 1952, to Virginia Jean Zeller and Elmer Kenneth Zeller in Prince George’s County, Maryland.

John is survived and missed by his loving wife, Phyllis; his son, Jason, and his wife, Annie; his daughters, Heather, and Jessica, and her husband, Nick; his sisters, Martie and Emma, and their families; his grandchildren, Haleigh, Braeden, Kailyn, Madeline, and Miles; and his great-grandson, Nicholas, Jr. His memory will also be cherished by the Evans family, Christy, Ray, Carley, and Brody; and his in-laws.

John served in the United States Navy for four years, from 1972 until 1977, having received his Honorable Discharge. During his Military service, he served aboard the USS Laffey DD-724. In 1978, John began serving in the Army Reserves and received his Honorable Discharge in 1985 after six years and six months of service.

John had a love for being on the water with his family. He had a passion for the history of trains and aircraft. He enjoyed football, watching movies, and laughing with his family. John was the former owner of Zeller’s Plumbing & Gas in Hendersonville.
