Kevin Wood

Kevin James Wood, of Arlington, Virginia, passed away on October 27, 2025, at the age of 29. He was a loving son, brother, and friend to many whose compassion and genuine interest in people left a longstanding mark on the relationships he built.

Born on December 7, 1995, in New Jersey, Kevin spent most of his childhood in Northern Virginia, where he made lifelong friends and countless memories. From an early age, Kevin’s energy and charisma lit up the room. He was an avid sports fan and a gifted athlete, spending much of his youth playing baseball, basketball, and football.

After graduating from Ohio University, Kevin began his career in commercial real estate in New York City — a field that perfectly suited his outgoing nature and natural ability to connect with people. His work in leasing allowed him to leverage his sharp mind, charm, and affability, and he truly loved what he did. Kevin later spent time in Nashville, Tennessee, before returning home to Northern Virginia, where he continued to build friendships and share his life with family.

Kevin had many passions, but few brought him more joy than classic cars and golf — both of which he shared with his dad and brothers. Many fond memories were made at classic car auctions over the years, where Kevin’s social nature and love for deal making shined bright. Out on the golf course, Kevin found peace and happiness and made many great relationships. He was fortunate to play many great courses over the years for both work and personal reasons, collecting stories and memories along the way.

In social settings, Kevin was the life of the party. He loved music, dancing, and making people laugh. His presence could light up any room, and he had an effortless way of making everyone feel welcome. Some of the best memories of Kevin are late nights in the car barn, singing along to classic rock — Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen, and the like — surrounded by friends and family, laughing and living in the moment.

Kevin will be remembered for his kindness, his loyalty, and his deep care for others. He always wanted to do the right thing and to make the people around him happy. His family and friends will forever carry his laughter, warmth, and generous spirit in their hearts.

Kevin is survived by his parents, Don and Stacey Wood; his brothers Ian and Jason, his twin sister Rachel and sister-in-law Mary. He is Uncle Kevin to two beautiful nieces named Leni Lou and Joey Mae. He will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A private service will be held to celebrate Kevin’s life, surrounded by family and close friends who loved him dearly.
