Luann Myers

Luann Myers, of Wellington, KS passed away surrounded by her husband and daughters on Monday, November 3,2025. She was 81.

She was born on March 29, 1944 to John B and Lois (Annen) Green in Topeka, KS. She grew up in Wellington and met her beloved husband John Myers in high school. They married on April 4, 1964 and celebrated 61 years of marriage.

John and Luann made their home in Wellington where Luann worked as a secretary in the Middle School for 36 years. She will be remembered for her intelligence, wit and compassion. She was kind and always willing to lend a hand. She was a voracious reader and enjoyed time at the library choosing new books to read. She had a lifelong love of dogs. She leaves behind her

cherished Maltese, Daisy, her faithful lap companion. She enjoyed many evenings watching tv or reading with Daisy in her lap.

Above all, Luann loved her family and friends. She cherished time with her daughters and grandchildren. She and John were lifelong boaters and took an annual vacation to Tablerock Lake in Missouri for more than 40 years where they enjoyed water skiing, swimming and occasional fishing with the grandchildren. They were special years of laughter and love and included many cherished friends.

She lived a life of love and loyalty. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

She is survived by her beloved husband, John Myers of Wellington, KS, daughters, Jami (Doug) Erbert of Las Vegas, NV, Lori Dow of Bullhead City, AZ, grandchildren, Collin Dow of Portland, OR, Logan Dow of Great Falls, MT, Taylor Dow of Great Falls, MT, Emily Erbert of Savannah, GA, Nick Erbert of Omaha, NE, nephews Chris Cornett (Michelle) of Chicago, IL, Chris (Laurie) Brown of Inlet Beach, FL, Matthew (Kristen) Brown of Clarksville, TN, and niece Kate (Dino) Horn of Wentzville, MO.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John B. and Lois Green, and sister, Betty Cornett.

A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 11 , 2025. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 7:00 p.m, Tuesday evening at St. Anthony St. Rose Catholic Church.

Funeral Mass for Luann will begin at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 12 , 2025 at St. Anthony St. Rose Catholic Church, Wellington, Kansas. Interment will follow at Sumner Memorial Gardens, Wellington, Kansas.

Memorial contributions can be given in her name to Wellington Humane Society. Contributions can be mailed or left with the funeral home.
