Ronald Masear

Ronald G. Masear, age 86 of Somonauk, IL, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2025. He was born on August 17, 1939 in Sandwich, IL the son of Lewis Earl and Verla Alberta (Augeson) Masear.

Ronald was united in marriage to Bettie Pence on December 20, 1968 and they spent the next 52 years happily together until her passing on November 27, 2020. Mr. Masear was a proud Veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Somonauk, IL. Ron enjoyed working on his farm and later in life, spending his summers in Minnesota and winters in Florida. He loved watching birds and wildlife. Ron spent a lot of his time fishing and hunting. Ron was a loving husband, father, grandfather who will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.

Ron is survived by his children, Trent Masear of Leland, IL and Dee (Mark) Klauer of IA; also his two grandchildren, Neysa (Jared) Belmont and Carter Klauer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Verla Masear and his wife, Bettie Masear.
